I can't believe how stupid and cruel people are

This is not nice, so don't read on if you don't want to.

I read in the NZ Herald this morning an article about a 'woman' who was not given a jail sentence for killing her partners puppy, because of her young age (she was 18, and tried in an adult court, as an adult). Instead she was given 300 hours of community service.

Apparently, one day she was in a bad mood, had a fight with her boyfriend, and became so annoyed at his puppy barking on the balcony of their apartment that she picked up the puppy and threw it off the balcony. It fell about 3m (9ft), landed on the roof of her car, and continued to bark (though it would have been out of shock, pain and no doubt anger, if dogs are capable of that[?]), so instead of realising what she had done and helping the puppy, she threw 2 plastic chairs off the balcony on top of it. The puppy died shortly afterwards.

OH MY GOD I SO WANT TO DO THAT TO HER... HOW COULD ANYONE DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?

The laws really need to be looked at. I wish that we could 'vet' humans who want to own an animal so that we know that the animal will be safe, healthy and looked after well.

There is no excuse for this.

Oh I have to add the comment that she made to her lawyer - "Defence lawyer Katherine Ewen said she did not think her actions would kill or injure the dog."
Apparently she would have been jailed if she was older. What a load of crock.

This is an insult to the memory of the poor puppy. This woman should be attending anger management classes long term, a psychological evaluation, and JAIL! Too bad the boyfriend didn't just push her off the balcony as well. His defense could have been she jumped off after the puppy.

That is so sad. The other day I was reading about a Golden Retriever that washed up on shore, it had it's legs tied together and was thrown in the water alive- it drowned.

These kinds of people have to have spawned from hell.....

That happened right near me. Hope that the ACO's & other investigators leads pan out, and that piece of excrement rots in Hell when he's caught. Assuming it's a he.

Well put. I hate hearing these stories (now I don't know why I told one ) My course tutor told me a horrible story earlier this year which I will not repeat - I wish she hadn't told me about it, but I am 'luckier' in the sense that I wasn't the one who nursed the dog from her story, but she was
