    A final farewell...

    I went to visit Annie before she leaves for her great flight to England. Here's a little picture story to commemorate my goodbye:

    First she was hiding BEHIND another cat, but ran for fear to hide under two chairs


    Then Jen shut the door, so when she ran to leave the room, she was cornered!


    Quick thinking Annie ran to hide in a bookcase...


    Which wasn't the best of hiding places because she was exposed, She said, "I am not happy about this stranger in my room!"


    But this stranger was a nice lady (me!) and sweet talked Sweet Annie, and tentatively reached out to Pet Sweet Annie.


    I got to pet her for a whole five minutes, and then got REAL brave and decided to hug her for a minute...


    At leats one of us looked happy! :me: :me:

    The flashed rather startled Annie, because next thing you know, she's a FLYING cat

    Awww, what a sweet farewell to beautiful Annie. I'm impressed that you were able to hug her.

    I can't wait to hear about her arrival to her new home.

    Darling, Annie. I hope you will have an incredible and wonderful journey. I am so glad to see your pictures tonight.

    When is the departure? I'd like to be keeping Annie in my prayers while she travels. I do hope that we will get updates!!!!

    Sweet Annie. I taught you all I can about humans and the love that can be found within them. You learned your lessons well, certainly well enough to allow a virtual stranger to hold you. I know that you are wary of new people but you are strong and adaptable. And in turn, you taught me the rewards that go along with patience and perseverance.
    In your past you have made trips to an adoption event and at least 3 different vets and you always came through with flying colors. You never held a grudge against me for making you go and do things that would have prefered not to do.
    You always welcomed the new foster cats even though you never actually made close bonds with them.
    You have turned into a lovely young lady cat and it is time for you to begin your brand new life. Just like the child who has turned into an adult, you must now leave your childhood home for new adventures. You are going to a good family who will love you forever. I will miss you, but this is your destiny.

    Sweet Annie will fly out at 9:25 pm ET on Thursday October 14 arriving in England on Friday October 15th.
    Please take a moment and think about her during that time so she can be surrounded by the love that only animals lovers can supply.
