Zoo visit - the Reptile House. (lots of pictures)

Sorry that I don't know the names of many of the creatures. Most were taken by me, but some were taken by my grandaughter.

I love this sweetie in the next two pics. He was so interested in us, he even turned around to watch as we walked away ... I wanted to take him home!

    More in the next post.

These creatures are huge, and live in a place all of their own called Islands in Danger.

They are magnificent. They are Komodo Dragons.

I will post the other zoo pictures in different thread.

Wow, I didn't know you were old enough to have a granddaughter. Really.

What great pictures. I love reptiles. I'm off to see the others.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Awesome pictures, I just love the tortoises! The komodos are impressive. I always particularly enjoy the reptile house at the zoo.

    Thanks everyone!

slick, yes, I'm way old enough, 58. I've two grandaughters, Lianne who will be eighteen in February (she gives zoo a miss these days! ) and Dannielle who has just turned nine. It is she who goes to the zoo with me. She is quite a reptile fan and loves all other sorts of creatures too.

Great pictures Chris. I give some of the cages in a reptile house a wide berth, I must be honest, but some of them are amazing.

    1: Green Anaconda

    2: Radiated Tortoises

3: Green Iguana (I think...possibly a similar type of Iggy)

4: Hard to say, but I think it's a Monocled Cobra

    5: Veiled Chameleon

    6: Green Tree Python

    7: Beats me

8: Wow, I don't know this one either!

9: Rhinocerous Iguana!! WOW, I've never seen one in person!!

Ooooh, the Komodos are gorgeous! All the animals are, and they all look great!! Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you Wolf_Q!
