I, myself.... would never do that to a dog.
I know it does not hurt the dog or anything, but I just feel bad for the dog.

I have always thought that doing this sort of a thing to a pet is horrible, regardless of whether it washes out or not. I wouldn't want it done to me, and I certainly wouldn't do it to a pet of mine.

I have to agree with Logan. I'd never do that to one of my dogs.

lol... I wouldn't do it to one of MY dogs but I like to look at it on other dogs... I think my dogs would murder me in my sleep if I did that to them. It looks cute though. Hope Bella's not mad at me hahaha... I was just kidding... I didn't know it was a boy dog though lol poor guy...

ah, not this again! dying fur is not cruel...

I think it looks cute, and the dogs like the extra attention. tons of women (and men) dye their hair, so why not dogs? and if I had a white dog, yes, I would do it! not all the time, but sometimes just for fun ^_^

Bella probably wouldn't approve because she is a bit of a tomboy! Personally I wouldn't go to the trouble to do it but I have no problems with anyone doing it if they want to. I also don't go to the trouble to do any of the fancy cuts either. Guess I am just lazy.

I just read on a poodle site that I visit about painting their toenails. I would be crazy enough to do it if I had a poodle who seemed to fit the "sophisticated" mold. Bella doesn't! LOL! For those who may be lurking and wondering about doing poodle nails, or any other breed for that matter, the suggestion was to poke the nails through some old pantyhose and then paint them. That way you don't get polish on the dog's fur. Pretty clever, huh? As I said, though, Bella would not approve and of course Ripley is ALL MAN (minus a few very important parts!) LOL!
