    Guestroom for Robbie and Lizzie

We set up Robbie and Lizzie's "temporary guestroom" today! I figured this way the other kitties could see them and sniff them and gradually get used to them. The "hammock" is one we found in the ferret department - looks nice and cozy for babies!

It has room in the back for a small litter box and then attached food and water dishes at the front.

Emily thought she would check it out, too.

I am thinking we will leave the kittens in here for awhile if we need to be gone from the house - until I know that the older cats will treat them well and that they will use the litter box I read about Mina and her using the bed instead and go UH-OH!

I'd like one of those hammocks for my fosters - what a great idea! Their "temporary guestroom" looks wonderful.

Funny, Allen and Poucner did the same thing before the fosters took up residence... orginally Pouncer screamed and cried when he was in the cage (as a kitten last year) and now we couldn't get him out of there! We even shut the door and locked it and he loved it. Cats! Go figure!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Oh my gosh that is so cute! I have seen many a kitty in a hammock in pet stores - Robbie and Lizzie are going to love that thing!! What a wonderful cage. I wished I had something like that for Sophie when she was little.

Your new babies are going to be just spoiled rotten!!!

So you did decide to get the cage. It looks great!! Heck, I would like to hang out in there! Food, water and lounge around in a hammock, doesn't sound so bad does it?
I think you have everything set up perfectly for the new babies. I can't wait for all the photos of you current kitties hanging out around the cage checking out the newbies. This is going to be so cute!!!

Wow, you really did go all out for the new babies! What a beautiful "guestroom!" I know they will love it and I think it's a great idea to help with the introductions. On my way to find the "3 more days" thread.

That is the best thing to do Debbie. Don't learn the hard way like I did.

By the way Mina is now using the litter you can read the little cute story behind it on my post "She Did It"

My sister Carolyn got a kennel like that for her daughter's tuxie kitten Selena. Selena slept in the hammock, when she wasn't tearing up the house or bedeviling "Grandpa" Oliver.

    Very nice touch!
