    a girly story

Okay wanted to post this on here last night...
Well you all know why I wouldn't, thought I might get some nasty responses from an unwanted person...

Okay about a year ago I foung a lump on my rt breast I ignored it and at the begining of the summer decided to have it looked at because it became bigger... about the size of a toonie (cdn lol)
So off I went to my family doctor. He said it was nothing to worry about but just in case he'd send me to a specialist so they could take a sample from it.
He said they'd insert a needle a test the fluid that came out of it... So okay whatever.... I went... This man checked it and said I could either get it removed even though it's nothing but I'd have a huge scar or just get a sample taken or do nothing and just watch it... I decided to get a sample taken. So he sent me to another specialist at the hospital and said he wanted this guy to take the sample instead... Okay whatever again so I get there.. They don't believe that there's anything there (mind you they haven't even looked yet) so they scheduale an ultra sound... So okay I go to have this done... and they say oh yes there is something there can you feel it?? YES why do you think I came I dont have an ultra sound machine at home .... So they set up a new appointment to insert the stupid needle.
So I get there the nurse woman goes through and tells me that if fluid comes out that it is indeed nothing to worry about if no fluid comes out then there's a problem alright whatever... So in comes this doctor.... Who all of a sudden decides thats he's gonna make a small inscion instead and take actual samples fromt the lump... Pardon me!!!!! Okay whatever just do it.... So he takes 4 samples from the lump.. (I was frozen btw)... A month later no one calls... YAY no news is good news right??? Wrong they just called me last week and said that its probably not cancerous but, they want it removed anyways... So I have to come in and fill forms out to have surgery ... So I did my surgery's on Oct 6/04... DAMN... NOt scared of the surgery scared of the anesthsia.... Has anyone had an experience like this before???? Can anyone help me out???

    p.s sorry so long

I started getting lumps when I was about 15. At one point they were painful and my breasts were swollen. They tested them and chose to leave them there though. I keep an eye on them, but haven't gotten any new ones or problems in years.

Try not to worry to much, it is better for them to be safe then sorry. Good luck!

It's just like this. One moment you're lying in the hospital bed, waiting to fall asleep, the next you're up looking at the cast (in my case anyway)

You do not even start to feel drowsy, (like I said, my personal experience) you're just there one moment, and the next you're up and it's all over.

-thank you Poppy for the avatar.

R.I.P. Hanson. You will never be forgotten, and we await the day to see you once again. The imprint you left on my heart will never fade - your big beautiful brown eyes, your big soggy kisses...

    Don't worry

I had anathetic when I had my knee replaced. They started giving it to me in the prep room and I was under before I left the room! I didn't wake until I was in recovery. I have no recollection of the operation at all. So I think you will be all right.
