    I'm Home!

Holy Cow, does it feel GREAT to be home again!! Those were the 5 toughest days of my life, and I have no clue how we made it through, but we did. I don't think I have ever been so homesick as I was this "vacation".

I took a lot of pictures of the dogs playing on the beach, but I have to find my camera first buried deep inside luggage somewhere.

The dogs are soo happy to be out and about!! They were stuck in their kennels for so many hours and now they can romp and growl and play to their hearts content!!

We stopped for lunch on the way home and they each got some burger, french fries and vanilla icecream as a very special treat for being sooo patient.

Anyway, I"m home, and it's so good to be back!!!

Welcome back! We'll look forward to lots of dog pics.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Oh, Anna, I was so in hopes that this would be a relaxing time for you and your family (Emerson and Malone too). I'm glad you're home!!!! Can't wait to see more pictures.

OK, I found my camera, and resized a few, so here they are.

Oh, Anna, I was so in hopes that this would be a relaxing time for you and your family (Emerson and Malone too).
Logan, I know, I was hoping that, too! But there was so much pressure that I didn't know how to deal with, and it all ended with a deep seated longing to be home where I could control things, I guess. I'm not sure. Mom just slid down hill so fast when we got there, it was scary. She was very, very sick especially yesterday afternoon/night. They finally got a visiting nurse there to give her fluids, and that brought some relief.

I didn't know how to handle her being so ill. I didn't know how to handle the possibility that she could leave us right then. I didn't know how to handle Dad, usually so strong and he was crying. I felt so guilty about the dogs being cooped up for so long every day. I didn't feel like I could go off by myself to find solace for a while (I finally went and did laundry for a couple of hours!). And all this pressure just accumulated and built up and built up.

I'm not sure why I'm telling you all this, but I guess there's nobody else I can "confide" in.

    Anyhow...onto some pictures:

Our house was so beautiful, quaint and gorgeously decorated. Here is part of the living room.

Here is our deck that faced the ocean. If the mosquitos weren't so bad we could have sat out there a lot longer.

A sunrise taken from the deck. Pictures just don't do it any justice!!

This is a picture of our private beach. It wasn't too big, but it was perfect for exercising the dogs. They swam and played and chased and had a great time! We took them out for about an hour in the morning and an hour at night.

    My boo-tee-full boy!

    My other booteefull boy!!

And here is a picture of my beloved Mom (in-law) on the first night we got there. This was the only time she had the strength to sit outside, and I'm glad that I got a good picture of her.

    Anyway, thanks for listening.....

Oh Anna ::hugs:: I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom! May comfort be brought to you and your family during this hard time.

I'm glad you got away for a little while, even if it was to only do Laundry ::hugs::

Anna, I feel your frustration, and understand it, completely! Bless your heart, trying to make things perfect for your mother in law and not feeling good about those efforts had to be tough. I can completely understand why it felt good to get home!

My thoughts and prayers are with your MIL, and with you and your family too. What a difficult time it is for all of you.

Just know that we love you all and are keeping you in our prayers, daily. Hang in there!!!

    Love,
    Logan

Welcome back Anna . I am sorry your time away was not as relaxing as you would have liked, but time spent with the people you love is time well spent.

I love the sunrise photo how beautiful, and the boys look great.
