    I need a break! ;o)

Just a quick note to my PT friends to say that I will be taking a break from the boards for a bit. I am feeling really overwhelmed right now, and just need to take some time to myself, and work on my home situation. My husband has been working 12-18 hours SEVEN DAYS A WEEK ... and hasn't had a day off in 3 weeks! He is only here to sleep about 4-5 hours, then gone again. Plus he was out of town for 3 days.

I have a house full of cats / kittens, and I just can't seem to keep up the pace right now. I'm not feeling well physically or emotionally right now ... and all I can think about is how in just 7 or so weeks, there will be a newborn baby here!!! I don't think I have one room in this entire house that is fit for a baby to be in! My health is the pits right now too, and I don't even feel like I can mention it to my husband, because he just simply does not have time to help me.

I really hate to be such a downer right now ... but I just wanted to let you know that no one here has "run me off" if you don't see me for a while.

    (hugs)

    Kim,

I certainly understand! Cat rescue can be very overwhelming. You need to take care of yourself first. We will miss you. Please get some rest and come back soon, okay?

    Kim I understand so well!

Even two moms with kittens are a lot of work- and in addition there are all the grown up cats- plus your daughter and your husband who should be the first in the long line of souls who depend on you.

We are here waiting for you- try to make your life as good as you can- under all that pressure

Kim, I can understand you very well. What you describe sounds very much like a burnout-syndrome, which would be no surprise when you and your hubby are working so much!!

Take all the time you need, and I hope life will get more peaceful for you and your family in the future. I know, it's easier said than done, but maybe you can at least gather some strengh...

    Take care of you,
    Kirsten

Kelly that's exactly what I was going to say. Kim it is a very hard, yet very responsible thing that you are planning to do. PT can sometimes take us away from what we should be doing. I find some days if I really want to get things done I just can't turn the computer on at all.

I think once that precious baby arrives the joy that you will feel will so totally full you up that there will be no room for any negative emotions. (((Hugs))) to you regarding your health problem. While I don't know what it is, God does and so we can pray for a complete recovery for you. You take all the time you need but we will surely miss you.

{{{{HUGS}}}} Kim, please take care of yourself first and foremost! Life's pressures can pile up on you without you noticing and then one day you olook and go "wow, how did I get all this?" and then you feel so inundated, overwhelmed, and pulled in twenty directions. Please get some rest, take care of the kittens and look forward to becoming a grandmom soon!

I can certainly relate. You'll be missed and hurry back soon. You need to take care of yourself also!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
