    Camping and Cats

This subject has been touched upon lightly by a couple of others. But I wanted to start a new topic about it.
Is it a good idea to take a cat camping?
Has anyone taken there cat camping? If so, what should I expect?
What types of problems did you run into?

    Thank you for all responses,
    Ben

My girl Pesto is 17 months old, and in the year we have had her, she too has never been outised of our apartment except in her carrying case to go to the vet. I cannot imagine taking her down with me to get the mail, let alone out into the strange strange wilderness! I have never even been camping myself, so I can't really comment directly on the feasibility of taking a cat camping. However, if some of the experts here who have outdoors cats are saying not to, and if your cat is totally an indoors cat like mine, I wouldn't DARE. Your cat is only used to the sounds of your apartment, and I think it would be just too much to handle.
