The shelter looked at Tigger and found that he had only two teeth I believe it was, a rotting ear, and lukemia. They plan on putting him to sleep tomorrow.![]()
Thanks to Mary for all her help even though there wasn't a positive outcome.

Poor Tigger - I'm so sorry. Thank you for getting him to a place where he will go to the RB peacefully.
That's horrible. I had high hopes for poor Tigger. I hope his next life is better than this one. He didn't deserve that.
sometimes that's why they look so horrible-immune system is lowered but it's always worth a good try and try you all did! It's too bad the shelter won't place him in a luekemia shelter or home- their are websites but well, I'm sure they don't have the funding to hold on to him long enough to treat him and place him... bless the little boy.
Oh how sad. This should have been a happier ending.
Angel - you've helped Tigger at a time when no one would and from the looks of him you gave him the most care and love he's ever seen. Sometimes one moment of compassion like that can help ease the pain of a lifetime of sorrow. Bless you for helping him.
Rest in Peace sweet Tigger. You are one of those souls who touched my heart from a distance. Play hard at the Rainbow Bridge sweetie!
From Decker with Love
I'm sorry this life didn't treat him well.
You gave him the only real love he knew. He will be waiting for YOU at the Rainbow Bridge.
Always remember that.
Godspeed to the bridge, Tigger.
Unfortunately, Tigger was not going to survive much longer no matter how much care he was given. I went back to the shelter to take pictures and spent some time with him. His light green eyes were dull, possibly from pain. He wasn't willing to put up any fight when we washed him or pushed him around. He almost seemed to want to go. He had a can of cat food that he initially dived into, then couldn't eat much of. He was very thin and had several scrapes on his legs as well as the damage to his ear and head. His ear was rotting because his system could no longer heal itself.
I am attaching a couple of pictures; if you are sensitive, don't open them.
Close up
I will be taking him in later this morning and will try to give him a little love before he goes to he RB.

Me too!
I have to commend Angeleyz (Crystal) and her friend for bringing Tigger to Columbia. The odor had to be tough to drive with, but they were determined to get the best they could for him.
The shelter said he was around 10 years old.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. We all had such high hopes for Tigger.

Angeleyez, I know you initially didn't want to bring Tigger in if he was just going to be put down, so I know this must be hard on you, but I think you know that you did the right thing and he can now go peacefully instead of wasting away in pain. {{{Hugs}}} to you. I know that Tigger appreciates the love and care you have shown him in these last few weeks.
Mary, thank you so much for stepping in and helping Crystal to do the right thing for Tigger, and for loving Tigger as he passes to RB.
I don't know what else to say, I'm just so sorry.![]()

Poor Tigger - at least he has known human love and kindness in his last days.
Play well at the Rainbow Bridge, darling Tigger.
Huge (((HUGS))) to everyone involved for caring, and trying to help.
How awfully sad. You two girls went to such lengths to do the right thing by Tigger. Sometimes there isn't anything that can be done. I am sure the love/compassion you showed Tigger at the final stages of his life will carry him safely and swiftly to the bridge. Rip, Tigger.
Poor Tigger. You will be a gorgeous healthy orangie at the RB.
I've been finally defrosted by cassiesmom!

Yeah it was really sad. Hated to hear that outcome but it was almost expected...and as everyone said, at least he's not suffering anymore and on to a new life.
On another note... that pet place was AWESOME Ms. Mary.... very very awesome and i will be coming back again one day.
Have a great day!
