    Almalfi-my new foster

This is Almalfi. He is a blue point male, about 10 years old. He needs a dental, and he's got a huge Meezer voice. He never uses it inappropriately. Only for greetings.
A sweet boy, gentle. Loves to sleep under the covers with you.

    Looking for a home....

He is beautiful! Why is he homeless at 10 years of age? Best of luck placing him.

My question, also. Those eyes are so gorgeous, but filled with sadness. He's so lucky to have you right now.

    Well,

He was out loose. I don't know if he was always allowed out, he has no interest in leaving his room here.
Anyway, the neighbors complained about him, he was captured by animal control, he went to a local foster, then got into Siamese Rescue, and I got him.

He's not a fighter. He's neutered, and has been for a long time, my guess. He's got a white spot on his nose. Vet said it was a scar, from a fight. Other rescuer said he rubbed the fur off at the shelter.

He's going for his dental on Monday. I hope it makes him feel better.

Any stories out there about how dentals help cats?

This is my first one. I have to give him fluids tomorrow, and two days after the dental. And he's started anitbiotics.

Amalfi is a BEAUTY! WOW! Those eyes, those velvet ears! I'm in love!

As for dentals, my two had theirs done last December. They both needed extractions - two for Mishi and one for Mitzi. Mishi was goofy and glum for a day or two afterwards and took longer to bounce back to his silly self. Mitzi bounced back as if nothing had happened and was eating and playing almost immediately after coming home.

I hope Amalfi has an easy time of it. Give his nose spot a kiss for me.

Ripley had his first ever dental last year at age 11 and within a month or so we noticed he was biting harder when he plays, also he got a little spunkier too. He started playing with toys again. As for the immediate affects he we has groggy the first night and back to normal the next day.

Your new foster is gorgeous. I hope his dental goes well and he finds a good forever home quickly. At least he is safe with you now.

Our 14 year old, Louis, had dental work last year. He was put under in the morning, had a couple of extractions. We picked him up in the late afternoon - and he was surprisingly perky.

Almalfi is beautiful. What gorgeous eyes.

Well, his ears aren't so much velvet as leather.

They have no fur on them. He is the second blue boy I've had that has had bald ears. My Snowy doesn't have bald ears. He is younger.

Anyone have any cats with bald ears? Does it have to do with age?
