heehee - there is a phenomena that has been occurring in Cat General that is followed when a cat person wants something. I think we learned it from our cats. It is simply known as whining. Any cat is very good at it. If he or she wants something, they simply produce a most annoying and obnoxious series of noises and behaviors until they receive what they want! Since cats are NOT obedient, they cannot be trained to do otherwise. Thus, cat owners seem to follow the same tactics. Popcornbird recently decided she would try to learn this fine art of whining and thought we should share it with the General forum No Problem!!
Whining knows no bounds! Feel free to whine along with all of us!! Tears are always an added bonus and can be found below!

OK, I have a question.

In both the whining threads I've seen many spellings for WAAA.

First off there's WHAAAAAAAAA
Then there is WAAAAAAAAA
There is also WAAAAAAAAHHHH

In the interest of consistency should we not all agree on one correct spelling??

Ok, so if I'm going to be the whining *part-time* teacher, let's list our lessons down.

Lesson #1 will be the *Waaaaaaah Lesson*. In this lesson, you will all learn to whine with the word *Waaaaaaah!!!* in large/bold letters. Once this lesson is completed, we shall have the Waaaaaah test to test your skills. Those of you who pass can move on to lesson 2.

In Lesson #2, students will learn to search the web for the most whiny smilies, and post them along with their *Waaaaaahs*. There will be a test on this lesson too.

In Lesson #3, students will learn how to use the crying smilies they found with the word *Waaaaah!!! and a long whine. There will also be a test for this.

Lesson #4 will teach succeeding whiners to whine with power, in a way that they will get what they want. They will learn to WAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!, whine, cry, and make the person they are whining to feel sorry for them. Those that can pass the test for lesson 4 will have to take the *PHD in whining* graduation test. Once this test has been completed, the student will be a graduated whiner, and can move on to teach the next class. This test may be a little more difficult. You will have to *WAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!* on the mic, record it, and post it on PT without shying out. If you pass, then, well, you're an official whiner (which I am NOT).

So Sirrahbed, I'm done with my part as part-time teacher. I listed the lessons and tests for you, and you can continue to teach your students accordingly. I myself, am outa here.

Ps. I think it would be soooooo funny to really hear everyone whining in recorded clips!

Gee Poppy, I'm retired from whining now I recruited some really good replacements over in Cat General. You were doing a great job! I have a feeling you have already planted enough seeds anyway. pretty good Maria!! but whining is MUCH better if you add tears and theatrics. You will find some great ones here and here. Have fun!! Whining usually involves a certain response that you want - like a request for pictures or an answer to a question. How else will you know if your whining has been successful?

Maria - I am 49 years old! I am the Tommy Lee Jones type (but I DID think Aragorn was pretty cute. But, my favorite actor was.. don't laugh!!!..it was Sean Bean who played Boromir I loved him in Patriot Games. He's a little young for me though I love those bad boyz!!

I loved him in Bravo Two Zero- EXCELLENT!! I wish he had a larger part in Ronin! I love the Patriot Games and Don't Say A Word! The Essex Boys was awesome too! And of course The Fellowship of the Ring. Every movie he is in is heavenly and wonderful.
