    My girls after a hot day (pics)

    I thought I'd offer them a bowl with water and toys again, because playing with it might be a bit refreshing!

    But what did they do???

    They only drank from the bowl!!


    First Lily...



    ...then Luna!




    Well, I guess it's a good thing! LOL

    Are you a photographer?

    Your pics come out so nice and clear! So did you think they'd get IN the water to play?
    Do they usually do that?
    Re: Shy and Felv vaccine reaction- she hid under the bed for at least 24 hours, hot ears, nausea (puking up water) not eating, not peeing or anything- just "leave me alone" and HOT. Vet said is reaction to vaccine and I didn't want to finish the series, she seemed too miserable under the bed on a hardwood floor trying to stay cool; normally she's a cuddler (semi-feral).

    Hehehe. I didn't notice today that the water bowl had dried out until Filou jumped to the tap to get some water. When I filled it again, he drank his usual way: putting the paw in and "drinking" from the paw.

    He loves to play with water too- trying to catch it when it comes out of the tap but he doesn't swim like some other Abys

    Leslie, yes, I tried this before and Lily played with the toys in the water. She doesn't mind her paws getting wet, she's playing with water all the time.

    Barbara, Filou's drinking method is - uhm... very special! LOL

    The last time you did that they played in the water and now when you know it will help cool them down they only drink it!!! Can anyone truly understand the kitty mind??

    is that packing foam in the water! i hope not bits of it could come loose and hert your adorable kittys!

    Don't worry, I was monitoring them while they "played" with the water. When the fun was over, I threw it away, nothing has happened...
