Two years ago, my best friend, love and furkid was born. The 12 year wait for a dog was worth it.
I remember the first day we saw him. After a failed attempt at adopting a Border CollieX, named Lupe, from the Richmond SPCA, my mom started looking for breeders. She was torn between Shelties and Border Collies. She ultimately made the decision but I was mad that she picked a Sheltie over a Border Collie without consulting me. For the entire 4 hours up to Hedley, I held a grudge and was grumpy.
Then we drove into the driveway and I saw at least 10 Shelties swarming around the fence. We walked into the house and saw the pups in an xpen. The litter consisted of 8 sables. There were only 3 left though. One was spoken for so it was between a Sable with a white tipped ear and Kai. The white tipped ear pup was shaking in fear. Knowing how Shelties tend to stay reserved, we went for the one jumping up on the fence to greet us.
He has been everything I could have ever asked for in a dog but has given me so much more. I've grown so much emotionally because of him. He's my reason for loving dogs as much as I do. He has made me so proud and is truley one of those once in a lifetime dogs.
Of course, I had to include some puppy pictures of my handsome boy (just so I can start crying over the memories).

Sorry for posting so many; I got a bit carried away. I can't believe my boy's already two!
There will be tons of pictures later today. He has tons of presents, some yummy deserts and we're going to go to the school to play.
