    I couldent believe it...

ok, Today while at work, an English man approached me and asked how I was. I replied that I was fine.. yadda yadda. I asked if he needed help with anything. He said that he was just looking around.

Then he asks me where the chinchilla food was. I showed him and we started to chat about chinchillas, He said that his daughter had just went back to England to goto college. Well it turns out that she left her father with this chinchilla, and cage ect.. He said that he doesnt like it because he was never really "interested" in rodent like animals.

I said that I would consider taking the Chin off his hands. I asked how much he wanted for the Chinchilla, and all the access.. He said he wants 200$ for the Cage, bedding *pine EW*, food, Chinchilla sand, and hammock. He said he bought the Chin for 139.99$ our store price for chinchillas, and the cage was like 79.99$. then all the access...

Do you think I shoudl take in a Chinchilla??? ??? ???
I talked to my mom about it and she said that she "Loves" chinchillas, she always wanted one since she was young... Well.. humm... I have the money..and the time. *I am out of school ect*. I work two jobs, and make ok money, and I am able to care for it.

    Input please....

(I'm NOT trying to be rude at ALL in my post, so please do not take it the wrong way!!!)

Won't you be going off to college soon? hat will happen to it and your other pets then?

Didn't Tikeya scare your bunny to death? I would be worried about the Chin.

While I do know you would provice it with a loving and careing home I do worry about the above.

yeah Tikeya gave my bunny a heart attack, but my bunny didnt have a cage, it was basically a mistake waiting to happen.

The Chin will live in a cage. It will be takin out for at least an hour a day to romp around and play.

I am going to a grooming college, and I still havent recieved the application. My parents will care for the Chin and my rats while I am away. Tikeya will come with me.

I still would be worried with Tikeya.

Would your parents give as much attention to the Chin as it deserves? I mean, letting it out for an hour a day etc. etc. takes alot of work. I dont' know your parents, so I can't judge, but some parents would only feed and water them.

Tikeya has'nt touched my ratties because they are in a secured cage up on my shelfing unit. The chin will be in a cage on my wall unit.

Well in acception of my father, my mom respects the fact that I want them out for at least an hour aday. When I sleep over at Jordans my mom plays with the rats.

Meh, I think I'll wait for a while before getting another pet. Tikeya, and the rats are enough for right now. I guess it was all just spur of the moment. When getting a new pet should take up a couple months time of research ect..

Who knows, maybe I'll get a Chin in the future...

I think that is the best decision, Jynelle.

I am sure he will find a loving home for the chinchilla if he does not want it.

I am sure your pets will love the extra attention that you give them instead of the chinchilla.
