vacation pictures ~Hilton Head Island~

Just got my pictures on the computer from our vacation. If any of you ever get the opportunity to go to Hilton Head .. it is the prettiest most relaxing place I have ever been to. It is not commercialized at all.. very family oriented.. and no party people.

Here is some pictures of the sunrise I got to see on the way over there. We left at 5:00 Thursday morning...







and here is a HUGE rainbow I saw too!



and here is a picture of me driving. I was feeling real silly.. cause i had been driving for about 3 hours with no one to talk to and no rradio.. cause Eric was sleeping.



and here is Eric sleeping *snicker*



We were riding our bikes here. They have lots and lots of bike trails there.. here is a picture of what the island looks like just about every where you go..

Here are some pictures I took riding my bike alone early one morning.



here are some big huge cranes i saw. The one at the top of the tree was sitting real close to me then flew over there. It was real weird seeing a bird that big (about four feet tall) sitting in a tree!



here is some scenery along the bike trail.

here is a picture of some crabs we caught.. you can kind of see the small one.. and the big one was REALLY big!!!



and here he is when we let him go.. you can see his crab eyes poking out of the water...

For the bird lovers!!!

There is a shop called The Salty Dog Cafe. They have some SPOILED parrotts.. They have a really big room .. with like a large "litter box" under them. Last year they only had one... but this year they had three.

here they are ... there are two blue ones.. and you can kind of see the red one in the top left of the rope swing.. and you can kind of see the huge litter box at the bottom.



Here they are again. They were being soo silly!


You can hardley see. but the one in the middle kept waving at us.. and looked like he was smiling real big!!

What a great vacation, Sara! Where did you guys stay? I have spent very little time at Hilton Head in my 41 years in SC. We go to NC on our beach vacations, but I love Hilton Head. Helen and I were lucky enough to spend some time down there over a weekend a couple of years ago when I needed to do some work there, and we "vacationed" a little bit too! The wide beaches are wonderful and they are not crowded, which I love as well!

Your pictures are terrific! Love those parrots!!!!!

We stayed on the island in a place called Sea Pines. Our whole family went and split the rent on the house. I love it there!! It is soooo relaxing!!!

Wow, it looks like a wonderful place! I'm glad you had a great time - how could you not. You look so happy in the pics.

Those parrotts were definately enjoying the attention. It's nice to see they're being so well cared for.

Alligators, uhh! I bet you didn't go swimming there! Glad you let the craps go - when I saw the first picture .....

So, who looked after Tinky and Jupiter? I'm sure they're glued to you now.

My mom came by fed and played with them..

and YES .. they are glued to me.. Tinky will not leave my side.. and has slept right on top of me every night since I've been home! MY SWEET GIRL!!!
