    Excavating 101

Excavating 101, taught by Kayleigh. She is available for hire if you need your yard trenched or like a moonscape in your landscaping theme.

This is Kayleigh's house, notice the holes on all sides. The ground around here is sand and clay--great for digging!

This is the far corner of the dog house--notice it is balancing on one tree root! Fortunately, the other corners are on solid ground. I'll have to move it soon though if she keeps digging in that area.

Two views of her best work. This hole is over 18 across and close to four feet deep! She's not quite done with it yet. Occasionally, I see sand flying up and no sign of Kayleigh. She can crawl right into the hole, turn around and home up head first!

Anyone need some yard work done? Perhaps a swimming pool or basement dug? Kayleigh will work for food!

My dogs took that Excavating course, as well.

Last summer they dug a den under the patio. I never knew for sure how deep it was, or how large inside, but I saw four of my dogs disappear into it at once.

One of my son's friends was looking out the kitchen window into the dogs' yard once and said, "Wow. No Man's Land." LOL

LOL! That's funny! When we sold our last house, part of the offer stated that we had to "fix the backyard". Took three truckloads of dirt to fill the holes. Where does the dirt go!!!???

I think that Oreo must have taken Kayleigh's class via correspondence school. Her specialty is "ruts" more than "dens," though, and she is very impressed with Kayleigh's work!
