Welcome to My Home ... Won't you Stop In?

I enjoy having guests after dark, as I love lamp light and a cozy feeling! I hope you will enjoy your visit.

The light's always "on" for PT Friends!

Hi! Please come in ... Grace and Boots are here to greet you!

This is the soul of our home, the Living Room ... when you've seen it, you've pretty much seen our house! LOL! This is the straight view when you walk in the house.

Looking to the left is our sofa wall:

To the right is the TV and DVD viewing wall, please excuse the unpainted kitchen doors ... I've had the paint FOREVER!

The short wall to the right of the front door / by the stairs:

Grace will lead you up to the "bonus room" which we made a hangout for my 15 year old, and my step-daughter sleeps here on the weekends too.

    Amanda's (Bonus) Room:

Now for mine and hubby's room:

My desk and PT LIVING area!!!

Now for the baby's nursery / my daughter's room:

I didn't show my daughter's side of the room, as it was currently a mess!

Had to show these adorable photo frames I found yesterday!

There is one more bedroom, that is for my hubby's computer and my stepson's bedroom ... but it was not presentable at this time either!

Thanks so much for stopping in, I hardly ever has company ... and there is NO ONE I would rather have than a fellow PT Friend!

    LOVE YOU ALL!!!

EDIT: OOPS... I Do have a kitchen ...LOL!!!

Behind this door is the utlity room:

OOOO... its so very pretty and elegant! I am afraid to touch anything! Especially with those kitty tourguides sitting with me.

Was the sky really that wonderful tourquise color? I love that you used strong color everywhere with the light furnishings - don't you have a cleanliness problem with a 15 year old? LOL. We have so much dirt its pathetic.... even though we have a "no shoes in the house" rule!

I'm thinking of a red like that in my bedroom - I LOVE red!!! I love everything you did! The baby's room is charming - especially those little frames. I loved visiting your house! It was a pleasure to see everything (except the unpresentable rooms. I understand that part.)

    This is fun!

Thank you, Catnapper! I love color ... DUH .... and I love to decorate. I always wanted to be an interior decorator, but I didn't have the confidence to get started. Soooooooo, I just have fun with my own home, and make myself happy. I never have company, so it was fun to be able to have my PT friends "over" tonight!

    oh no!

this is going to be embarrassing! When ever I get around to getting my home on a digital camera-- the pics will HAVE to be "scratch and sniff" so ya'all can get the full effect! I'll do a scratch and sniff BEFORE the litter box is cleaned out and then a scratch and sniff afterwards! My small apt. would never look so clean and spacious!! EVER!! (I try to think of it as catty and cozy!)

Leslie, why do you think I like NIGHT tours? I burn alot of incense and the carpet stains are harder to see in lamplight! Also when you stand up with cat hair all over your butt, it's not as obvious! Trust me, my house is dirty and it's not hard to find it either!!!

In fact just this morning, I nearly sat in kitty barf on my couch ... and that weird shaped chair has a new "fringed" look to the sides! Who Cares!!!? I decorate like I want, and LIVE like I want ... that's why it's MY home!!!!

I am LOVING these tours! It is such fun to be able to come inside and visit I do love the stronger colors. I have lived my whole life with standard issue white walls and thought I was pretty bold using colonial blues and dusty rose Your home is so, so elegant!!! Oh and the hosts were very charming - how can you beat being greeted by two kitties? No home should be without a kitty or two or a dozen Thanks Kim!!! This is FUN!

I am so jealous of all you guys! You all have such pretty colorful homes! Terry insists that everything be "neutral" which basically means white walls, white carpet, white floors, white furniture, white tile in the bathroom....you get the idea.....ok, ok, so they're different shades of white, but they're all still white. He is like Catnapper's father in that he thinks if you keep it "stock" it will be easier to sell because the prospective buyers will have less to do to remodel to their tastes. So now, twelve years later, he's still living in "neutral." Anytime I want to add some color he says it's because I'm Polish.

Although, the one thing I have to admit is that "neutral" doesn't fade like colors do, and our main windows face south and we prefer to let the light in and not cover the windows, so the little color we do have fades quickly.

Kim, you have a lovely, lovely home and I would really like to come and be a "real" visitor someday. Even if I do have to dodge cat puke and shave my clothes when I leave, nothing I haven't done at home myself!

Debbie .... as much as I love color, I do love the clean, crisp and airy feel of white on white!!! But I know better than to have 15 or is it 16 cats and have anything WHITE!!! Hence, all the dark colors!!!

Very beautiful home Kim. I love the maroon/red color in your living room, red's my favorite color too and purple I love. Amanda's (Bonus) room is very nice, I love the colors. Every room is done so nice.

Love the buffet lamps, I have many of them too and just love the low lighting.

Kim, I love your bold colors. Your house is beautiful!! I think the nursery is adorable. I love the bright cheerful colors.

Where were all the kitties hiding during the photo shoot? I was expecting to see more cats.

Around here if you don't see a cat you'll at least see some cat fur.

Some of the kitties like to go out in our back fenced yard in the evening and some were enjoying my unmade bed (the bedroom picture was an "old" one ... lol! Also, some of them spend more time in my garage/ cat room because they don't play nice with the others in the house!
