Poor little Hummingbird

One of the people I work with found this little guy on the sidewalk outside my office about 1/2 hour ago. We don't know if he hit the window or what. We moved him to a grassy area so he wouldn't get stepped on. When it started raining, I brought him inside my office so he wouldn't drown. We have had tons of rain lately. Anyway, he went to the Rainbow Bridge about 15 minutes ago and I feel so bad. I hope he was comforted in his last minutes and not scared. Here are a few photos that I took of him before I brought him in. Have fun at the RB little honey! I thougth you guys might want to see how beautiful he was. Sorry one is a little blurry. I guess I had the digital camera too close.

One of the girls I work with and I found a nice little spot to bury him and said a prayer. Poor thing. So sad.

How sad sweet little one. I'll never forget handling a hummingbird who had been injured in my backyard when I was a little girl. Such exquisite sweetness and beauty packed into such a small sweet body. Enjoy RB little sweet hummer.
