I've finally have some more pics of Gully. The first few days were kind of rough. I kept crying about Maddie. Those that have lost a beloved dog, when you got a new one did you find it somewhat difficult? Everytime I would look at him, it was a reminder that she wasn't there. But luckily we've finally turned the corner. We're really bonding now. He is such a sweetheart and such a character too. He bounces and pounces everywhere he goes and last night he was jumping and hurling himself into the wall and door. Not sure where he learned slam dancing, but he does it quite well.Think I should have named him either "Tigger" or "Bam".
Him and Murph aren't exactly playing together yet, but they're co-existing with each other fine now. We've been working on him catching his stuffie. He's starting to get the hang of it, although he's not quite as proficient as Oz was at that age, but he excels in other stuff. He is fearless so far. I had to put the teeter totter up, because he was toodling up that without a care in the world, which is great, but I don't want him accidently falling off if I shouldn't happen to be watching at that moment. He jumped off the bed yesterday, which is a pretty long drop for puppy. Oz jumped off and before I could grab Gully, he followed right behind him. Luckily he wasn't hurt, so now I have to be extra careful when he's on the bed with us.
Housebreaking is coming along really good. He started popping the bells hanging from the doorknob yesterday. I don't think he's got the connection between, ring the bell, then go outside to potty yet. But hopefully the lightbulb will come on for that connection soon.
Here's the pics:
Few more coming...
