You are so lovely I had to de-lurk from a posting drought of at least a couple years to send you love and licks from the Great White North!

Tell your mom that my deaf-since-birth lab/bordercollie does the exact same thing when really excited to see visitors; she will actually run away to go and fetch her toy before running back for a proper wiggle-bum greeting! It's a shame how many people think the lack of hearing is a fault; in our case, we have found our little Jewel to be wonderfully disciplined and a very sound sleeper (except her eyes tend to be half open, kinda creepy).

Well first let me say I just knew that our captain would be the first to post about you

And second I agree with Cincy'sMom, I think you definately deserve a new toy in honor of your special day!

It's so wonderful that your family wanted to keep you even after learning of your deafness. I have a friend who has a deaf dog and they wouldn't give her back to the breeder for anything. They too decided they would work past her handicap

Oh Zeppelin, I saw your picture and story and just have to chime in here. I can tell you're a gentle girl, and I love your toy thing-that is so cute !!! You may be deaf but you may think its normal or dont really know and or care, and thats a wonderful way to be!!! You are well taken care of and you are a gorgeous little girl!!!!
