Just an hour ago, I got up...
When I got up I looked outside the window at my 4 rabbits. They all looked fine, accept my favorite doe, Sadie. She was lying on her side...and appeared to be sleeping. I thought it was an odd position she was lying in, but still continued to think she was just asleep. After about 15 minutes, I looked out the window again and saw she still hadn't moved. I thought I would go check on her. As I approched the cage, expecting her to move she didn't. I nearly collapsed at the sight I saw. She was dead, and the worst part was the she had been pregnant and had a little dead baby lying next to her...

She died bringing her young one into the world. I had bred her to my buck hoping for a litter I could use at the 4-H shows in the coming months! I was so excited...and now I feel so guilty, and greatly regret ever breeding her. I keep saying "oh if I only I hadn't done that" but theres not turning back the clocks...

I am absolutely in shock she is gone...Sadie was the sweetest doe EVER! She always gave me loads of little bunny kisses every day and rubbed her chin against my finger! She also LOVED to be cuddled and petted. She will be GREATLY missed. She was the my most favorite of the 9 rabbits I've owned in my life.

Please don't feel guilty about breeding her. Your intentions were honest and Sadie knows that you loved her very much. God must have needed her and her baby for some special task. RIP sweet Sadie and play happy at the RB.
