    Does anybody wear Camper shoes?

Another of my weird shopping requests.

I'm looking for a pair of slip-ons with a dog or cat stitched on the top. They're $240 here

I like the slip on Vans alot, but they make my feet look like boats. I really wanted a black and white checkered pair, but my feet are to big.

Miss Meow, I haven't seen what you are looking for, but I'll keep my eye out!

    Thank you Wolfie!

Camper is a Spanish brand, there are quite some shops around here but I have no ideas about the prices for these. Should be ca. 130 Euro. (For conversion: www.oanda.com).

Prices are rather 100-115 Euro but I can't find the cat/dog twins in their collection now. They have however a painted sheep plus a donkey -I'm not sure that's the same

    I don't have a pair - yet. They're quality shoes and comfy!

    Here's a link to their site: http://www.camper.es/web/en/basica.asp?flsid=118

Nicole, I have seen these in a shop near home. I don't remember the price.
But it must be some something around that Barbara has pointed out.

The thing is the shops are stocking spring-summer shoes right now and the cat-dog one was a winter collection pair.

I have got several times shoes from them and is good stuff.

    Lets see:
I have weighted a pair of shoes of mine= 500 Gr.
To send them over Australia comes to 20 or 32 euros (depents on the sevice you choose)

    115 + 30 euros= 145 eur.
    1eur = 1,64758 AUD

    145 * 1,64758 = 238,8991 AUD

270-239 ....you'd save 31 AUD if you lived in Europe

But Australian Customs would probably charge me import duty and tax of 15%, which is about $37 AUD . I might have to come to Spain!

    You are nearly at pillarhood!

What do you mean? If I want to send you a gift you have to pay taxes for that?

Is that the customs open any single box that comes?

It depends. Buying something from overseas is 'merchandise' and can be taxed if the taxation department feels like it. They are more relaxed on items sent as gifts. My last couple of parcels have been torn to shreds by Customs - they are wonderful at opening, but dreadful at sticking them back together

Have you guys lost your minds?

I just laughed my head off when I saw the price you all were willing to pay for shoes with cats and dogs printed on them! Of course I am just kidding about your lost minds, but I do wonder if your money could be spent buying yourself, well, maybe something a little more practical. Like, oh, let's say, a visit to the shrink?

Can you get me a pair?

All of this is in fun so please do not think I am making fun. I am really making fun of myself, too! (and yes, I spend lots of money keeping my pets and self supplied with pet like things)

At first I thought this thread would have a picture of Sallyanne, zeroing in on her feet! LOL! Of course you all know that our gal, SAS, is Head Mistress of Camp Vermont so anything that she puts on her feet can be considered Camper shoes!
