I have been training for a new job at work and busting out pictures of kitties for the shelter website. I feel like I haven't any spare time to do something fun...soooooo....I decided to play with my babies tonight and post some pictures of a few of them. Not everyone wanted to cooperate but thats ok. Here are some new pics.

I swear I just found them laying right here!!! (notice tattle tale Sammy in the background)

Leroy was jealous that everyone was getting pictures and attention so he attacked poor little Pervy. I swatted his behind and made him mad so at the first opportunity he grabbed my arm. BRAT! He got swatted again!

One of my very favorites! CHICKEN NECK SAMMY!! He was laying in his daddy's lap and he heard a commotion upstairs. This cracked me up!

Your kitties are so beautiful, and that Leroy is such a character. I love the pic of him looking outside with Peanut Butter. Is he talking to the birds or something?

And I've been meaning to ask you. Every year it seems like Peanut's hair gets all matted on her chin. I never knew why but it must be because her "mane" disappears as the weather gets warmer. Does Stubby's and Peanut Butter's chins get matted at that time of year too?

I love Pervy and think she's my favorite, then I see Peanut Butter and say no, he's my favorite, then I see Stubby and then I see Leroy and I just can't choose a favorite, I a fan of all of them!

Your gang is gorgeous! I love seeing pictures of them - that one of Stubby and Leroy is great. Chicken neck Sammy cracked me up too.

T&P's mom...I hate this time of year more than you can imagine! Peanut Butter, Stubby, and Maggie Sue are losing their manes and they become a mess! I brush and brush and brush some more but inevitably they get matted under their chin and on their throats. It drives me crazy! Peanut Butter and Maggie Sue will let me cut them out. (if they are sleepy and in the right mood) Stubby would rather remove a body part then have to sit still! She will somehow get a hold of the mat and literally rip them out!!OUCH! I'm trying to hold off for a little while before going to the groomer. It is such a trauma for me to take Stubby anywhere that I try to wait until it is almost over and get it all done at once. I think I may have to do something with Peanut Butter this year too because he has got some of those tight little ball mats right against his skin on his chest. I'll have to wait and see about him. All that mane is beautiful in the winter but boy is it a pain when it starts to warm up!

I am in awe of just how beautiful and handsome your fur babies are. They bring such a big smile to my face when I see pictures of all of them.

I can not get over the manes on Stubby and Peanut Butter. Leroy is such a character, he makes me laugh. In this picture, he looks like he is saying "Come on out there, Get a MOVE ON"

Aaahhh...I thought so. I try and keep Peanut well brushed too, but she's a lot like Stubby and only allows so much before she'll bite me and run. Yes, my little sweetie princess will bite me to tell me she's had enough brushing for one day!

I try and get her when she's mellow too, and that does help some.

It's funny though, that I've had her all these years and I've just never put the whole "mane" thing together - how it gets bigger in winter and then disappears in summer - until you brought it up. I guess no matter how old the kitty is and how long you've had them, they're always full of surprises.
