    Can I be Forgiven??

I was a thief today. I couldn't help but see that half starved pregnant cat sitting on that porch wanting in...her cries ignored. Can I be forgiven for sitting staking out the area I have taken umpteen bazzilion cats and kittens out of already, but coveting this one? Am I totally evil for giving her a can of food that she launched into like a rabid animal? GAWD I'm so bad! But .....I sinned, and I have the baby here, skinny little tabby and white sweetheart of a kitty. Should I return her? Am I that BAD a thief? I suspect so

    QueenScoopalot,

Good for you!!!! You are NOT a thief. You RESCUED that poor little girl whose STUPID, IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERS didn't give a rat's patoot about!!

Should you return her??? Absolutely NOT!!! I highly doubt they even realize she's gone. If they don't care enough to let her in in this cold weather, or to feed her, they certainly don't deserve to get her back.

UGH!!! That just really pisses me off!!

I agree, you are not a thief you are a rescuer. Hopefully they'll grieve over her and if/when they get a new kitty they think twice about leaving it out alone and hungry in the cold.

Poor kitty. I'm so glad you were there for her.

My guess is that not only did you rescue her and these babies but probably lots of future babies as well. That is if the poor thing lived that long.
I would have done exactly what you did and prayed that it was the right thing. I don't see how it could have been wrong! Keep us posted on this very lucky baby girl.

I wish you could come here to State College and get one in a god-awful trailer park from hell. I have been in there a couple of times and haven't been able to find her again. *sigh* The "owner" is a super creep with a a 4 page rap sheet. We were at the police station on Wed evening speaking with a Sargent and he was totally surprized that this guy didn't stick a gun in our faces when we talked to him and asked for the cat. He won't let her in the house at all and claims he feeds her but there is no set feeding station. I won't even get into how bad the dogs are there..but they can't do anything with PA's crappy laws. They can't even do anything about getting the children out.

    Sometimes people just suck.

Can I be Forgiven?? Heck Yes!

Now that the little tabby's been eating really well, her pregnancy is seeming to be well along. Poor baby's spiny from lack of proper nourishment, and has gorged on 3 cans of wet food, and quite a bit of kitten chow since last night. She's very sweet and dainty. No guilt here heee, hee, heee! : Denyce.. Sure hope you can find some help, for the trailer park kitty. I've trapped lots in local trailer parks around here, and it never seems to end.

    QueenScoopalot,

Dry kitten food as well as canned kitten food is the best thing for her. It's got tons of the stuff she needs while pregnant. Have you named her yet???

    Pictures please!

Sounds like you did a good thing for that poor pregger puss. Now she has a chance to have a healthy litter and a happy new home. You are most definitely NOT evil; you did the right thing. Thank God (or our higher power) for putting people like you on this planet.

    Can I be Forgiven?

Don't anyone worry....no guilt here, just the guilty pleasure of getting one more off the streets! Well one plus more on the way. "Blossom" as I named her (from the street she came from, and the fact she's blossoming with kittens) went to be combo tested, and went into another foster home. If I knew how to send pictures here, I would. I got yet another dumped HUGELY pregnant girl from the next street over today. She'll be staying here as she's so close to popping I don't want to stress this new sweetheart out. She'll have 2 stories, and hopefully three by the beginning of the week. I'll take pictures of this girly who I've named "Chelsea" for the lovely (said w/sarcasm) city she came from. She's been hanging around an auto body shop for a few weeks, and I've been driving around half the day looking for her, and saw her waddling down the street to go have some food. Catnip did the trick catching her! Plenty of good eating coming up for Chelsea!! I'll keep everyone posted on the new arrivals to be!

You certainly are NOT a thief! You're the savior to this sweet furball. She was taken from uncaring "owners" who totally ignored her. For this you should be commended!!
