I'm very grateful for my nice, safe, airline-style crates right now. Poor puppy.

I've got that kennel for my larger transport dogs. Now I'm going to be nervous about using it. Poor little lab.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

I'm going to use Zip ties on mine, I also use them. I'll post pics of what I did when I'm done. You can buy Zip's in a large bag full of them, so when you need to fold the crate cutting and replacing the ties won't be hard, or expensive task.

Ok, here is how I made mine safer. You can't lift the top off at all, not even an inch. They are working wonderfully! And they are REALLY strong so no worry there.

    Here are some pics..

This Zip Tie is on the front of the crate, by the door. I found I only needed one on this side, but it might very with crates.

On the back of the crate I (side with no door) I found I needed two to keep it secruly shut.

Then, so the dog wouldn't chew on the zip ties I cute the left over off and got this (front side)

    Back side

And here is the packet off Zip ties that I got from Lows (Home Depot or another place like this will work)

I would say there are at LEAST 30 to 35 in here, this bag cost my dad around 2 dollars

Hope this helps anyone else! And if you use these make sure you check if they are tight enough by pulling on the top of the crate.
