A tribute to all the people at Pet Talk

Through tragedy, people's hearts are truly shown, and the hearts here at Pet Talk have shown to be truly loving and caring. In particular, Binx's tragic loss has brought this to light to me especially. I wanted to try to express this to you all through a poem I wrote, a tribute to all the wonderful Pet Talkers.

I'm not sure how good it really is, but I wanted to try.

    Through it All

Across the land, oceans and seas,
a hundred eyes gaze lovingly upon each pet.

Across the fields, creeks and stones,
a hundred mouths smile upon each new tale met.

Across the forests, lakes and bluffs,
a hundred hands type to show and to tell.

Across the mountains, hills and deserts,
a hundred heads nod and wish us well.

Across the cities, towns, and villages,
a hundred minds consider a question asked.

Across the lanes, roads, and highways,
a hundred faces dare to be unmasked.

Across the states, countries and continents,
a hundred hearts break when one suffers loss.

Across the meters, kilometers and miles,
we are here for all with no journey to cross.

That's really beautiful. It's amazing how much caring there is for people and pets we have not met. I guess it's all part of being a compassionate human being.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Oh Jessica, that's so, so beautiful. What a loving tribute to animal lovers all over the world. As you so touchingly wrote, that great love and empathy reaches far and wide, to pets never met, to their families unknown. And Jessica, I hope you include yourself among those "wonderful Pet Talkers."

That was beautiful! It does seem that no matter what differences there is between people, there is something that brings us all together as one. That is the love we share for our pet friends. When one of us lose a beloved pet, everybody rushes to them to help sooth their broken heart and broken spirit. In the end it brings us closer together and shows what a truly close family Pet Talk is.

You did a beautiful job Jessica in putting into words what many of us feel. We are all joined by the love of our pets and only a pet owner can know the depth of loss another feels at the death of his/her best friend. Thanks for expressing it so well.
