Me, watching the weather channel, knew we were going to get hit hard, but I like playing in deep snow with Kia.... I just hate driving in it.
I still had to work that day, but since it was still coming down hard at 3 p.m., Cooley decided to cancel all it's evening classes and close it's buildings at 5 p.m. Thankfully, our boss here at the Library said we could go home before 5.I got out of work at 4 and it took me an hour to get home. Not bad, the roads being like they are. I live a half hour away on good roads.
In the end, Lansing got between 7 to 9 inches of snow. Eaton Rapids topped out with the most snowfall at 10 inches.
I took a few pictures throughout the day.

Kia just had a blast in it.
Here's a local story on the storm, including a 50 car pile up on I-96. No one was hurt thankfully.

rain - sleet - rain;

The bad news is that he really hates the snow and cold. Every now and then when it's nice and light and fluffy and coming down really pretty and it's not too cold I can get him to go for a walk in it, but other than that he can't wait for retirement so he never has to see snow again. So he really had the day from h**l yesterday.
