    Horrible Discovery>>>> Very Upset!!!

Oh my dear God!!! I had noticed that one of the kittens (nursing babies) had it's neck hair all matted down... but I thought it was just crusted over with milk! Well, today by further examination of both of the babies, I find that they both have the exact same cuts on their necks! The baby girl's has also split wide open!!!! I called the "rescue" that I am fostering for, and she put me off all afternoon. Finally, my vet returned my call a few minutes ago! From what I described, which I basically revealed the possiblities to myself as I described it to him, that it looked as though their throats had been slit from ear to ear.... at least that's the severity of the baby girls!!! He said that he thinks that IS what happened!!!! WHO could do something like this????? I have had these babies a week and didn't even notice it ... but my vet thinks that someone may have tried to GLUE the wounds closed, to hide what they had done, and now they are finally working themselves open!!! My heart is just flooded with sickness, sadness, anger and grief!!!! He told me to put Neosporin on them and come by and pick up antibiotics tomorrow!!!

Oh yeah.... I had also wondered why there were only two kittens to this litter... I sure hope that doesn't mean there WERE more!

Look at the pictures I just took of these two babies!!!!

Omigosh. I can't believe someone would do that. Were the kittens born in the shelter? If they were, that shelter has some explaining to do. Does it seem like they're going to be alright? Please keep us posted.

    Thanks, Dogz!

OMG...I simply don't understand humans. How CAN they do something as horrible as that to such an innocent little life. Things like that really brings tears to my eyes, and I seriously want to hurt the person/persons who did that.

How awful. Bless you for caring, and I hope they heal quickly. May the person who did this to them be forever haunted by their cries.

OMG! Kim, how horrible! You are indeed an angel to be fostering them and giving them a chance to heal and live long healthy lives! I'm speechless at the cruelty of some people!

    OMG

There are sick sick people (and I use the term losley). How can anyone see a baby and try to kill it in such a cruel way? Please find out the background because these abusers will continue to hurt innocents. You are such an incredible angel for these poor babies. They must have a special place in this world to survive such a horror. Bless you and all the work you do.

OMG those poor babies! That's horrible, thankfully they are being taken care of by you now and their lives have been saved. I don't understand how anyone could have possibly done that to those cute little faces.

OMG, I'm speechless and so sorry!!!

Would like to go and do the same to that a**hole who did that!!
Don't even want to think about what happened to the rest of the litter (if there was a rest, Lily's mommy also had two babies only).

Wonder how many sick people are living in this world, almost every day there are news about cruelty to animals. What a poor species we are!

I'm so glad the kittens are with you now, I know you'll care for them and I hope they will completely recover.

    What a horrible horrible story

I just shiver by thinking of that maybe you meet jerks like that one every day in the supermarket and they haven't got a mark on their forehead

I hope the poor little ones recover from that terrible experience. It's people like you who help me think that mankind isn't all bad
