Willie and Cody, a walk back in time *pics*

Well, binka_nugget made me think of doing this with her thread. I don't have a scanner and it just didn't occur to me before looking at her thread about taking pictures of pictures. And I have plenty of them... many more than I even took pictures of and those were plenty. So, without further ado, if you would step back in time with me, and meet my beautiful boys, Cody and Willie.

Cody, 2 years old, after a grooming session on the deck.

    Cody, another after being groomed

This is quite a bit later on, in Minnesota after a huge snow dump. I think Cody is about 9 or 10 here but he looks younger cause I had trimmed up his coat quite a bit after a shed.

Baby Willie. I got him at 9 months old but the breeder game me a couple of his puppy pictures.

Willie, 6 months old, at the breeder's.

Cody and Willie in the snow. Willie is about 10 months old here, Cody nearly 3 years old.

    Willie, my gorgeous boy

    more incoming.

A few of Willie's conformation ribbons

This one was taken at the show where he won his first point.

Willie in the ring, where he won his first major. The handler is a friend of the breeder.

In the parking lot after he won

Cody went with us on the road trips to shows.

    More coming.

My high school senior picture, had taken with the dogs.

    Laying around

My husband (at the time fiance) with the collies, visiting with some neighbor's horses. Willie was so fascinated by them.

    Another Christmas picture.

This is Willie's son, Billy. When we got him part of the contract was that the breeder would get to breed him once. This is the pick of that litter.

    Still more coming

Oh my gosh! Gorgeous! Our second dog was supposed to be a blue merle (rescued) collie but the rescue took their sweet time and contacted us after we got Kaedyn. They're just gorgeous dogs.

Just have to slip this one in here, of David after an incredible snow dump one year.

Swing back into summer again. This is Cody and Willie with my mother-in-law's sheltie Devon, who just passed away last summer.

Cody's last Christmas.. he passed away three months after this was taken.

Me with Tasha and Willie on a hike in Northern MN.

Tasha, 7 months old, watching the waves. This is Lake Superior.

Tasha and Willie, Lake Superior in the background

This is one of my very favorite pictures of Willie with Lake Superior in the background. It was the last real hike he was able to go on before arthritis bothered him just too much.

I know this has been a lot of pictures, but they are very precious to me. My life revolved around Cody and Willie. Gone to Rainbow Bridge now... gone but never ever forgotten, and always in my heart. Their tributes and more pictures are at my memorial page here. http://www.doordolt.com/~jfrank/memorials.html

Thank you for all the kind words. I still love to share about them. Still feel as much love and pride in them as I do Tasha and Tommy now. I miss them so much, but also am so grateful to have experienced their love. So glad they were a part of my life.

I can't really take much credit, my camera does a great job by itself. But I did try to find good lighting so that there wouldn't be glare yet would not need flash.

Thanks again for all the nice comments. Somehow it has really been a good feeling to see all the pics again, and to be able to share them. Almost like I have been able to spend time with them again. Perhaps they were watching me as I worked on their pictures.
