In China, they dyed these monkeys to celebrate chinese new year (year of the monkey)

Is that a real picture? I never heard about those...maybe they did that with the computer or something. But I never heard about dyeing them a different color

I sincerely doubt the photo is real. It looks like the color was "added" in Photoshop to me.
That said, if someone wants to dye a monkey, and the dye is harmless and the monkey doesn't mind, I'm okay with it!

People dye dogs all the time. Frankly, most dogs like the extra attention.

They have salons that colours the animals fur. And most of it washes out when they get washed.

Photoshop, I bet. You can see a sort of "halo" effect - light around the edges of the left-most monkey, which happens if you don't do your "selection" carefully when you are adding the color.Originally posted by cocker_luva

It wont let me see it but I have a feeling I know what you all are talking about. hoppefully if I can attatch it right & if its the same one it is really died, not an image it is real this is the caption that came with it:
