    Bailey

Hi beautiful Bailey! You look sooo much like my little 8 mo. kitty Oliver! And you share something else in common Bailey. Oliver came into my life shortly after my precious little Lizzie girl, age 18, very unexpectedly left for the Rainbow Bridge. Like Oliver, you were there to love and comfort your Mama during her saddest days. And even little Skippy too! You are truly a very special, heaven sent, angel kitty with a heart of gold. Today we honor you Bailey as our Cat of the Day and send to you all of our thanks for the wonderful job you do as a loving friend, companion and comforter! You are one very special young lady. Big hugs and kisses precious.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful little face and I love your little white mittens little Bailey! And you have taken up so much responsibility for a kitten. Comforting your mommy and looking after skippy in his old age! Those are very important things to do and you truly deserve to be Cat of the Day !

Misty, an abandoned calico, mated once and only once with Socks, an orange tabby and white. They produced a calico and a tortie point (a pointed cat whose points are tortoiseshell instead of solid). So, yes to both questions! I know this because I fostered Misty after her parents abandoned her, and it was my friend who owned Socks and knew when they mated (the city of Euless convinced her with an arrest warrant to neuter him, unfortunately not until after his adventure with Misty).

Yes, I think it's possible to pass on kitty traits every other generation. We once sheltered a mama cat with Maine Coon characteristics (Cherry, now at the Rainbow Bridge), who turned out to be a mother to two calico shorthairs. (We had been feeding her for about two weeks when we discovered her litter on the other side of our fence.)
