WELL, it's back to typing one handed!

yesterday when I chose to take Sally (too stubborn to eat) back to our shelter building, I ended up returning home with 2 recently caught 4 month old scaredy kittens. they are named Roxie (long haired brown tabby female) and Whisper (long haired blue tabby female). Roxie is easier to handle but Whisper burst out of her cage this moring and gave me quite the chase this morning around the foster room. no need for our exercises today . so she is now securely wrapped in a towel in my arms for the day.
Whisper looks exactly like Sweet Annie in a long haired coat. hope she doesn't turn out to be as stubborn in the taming process.

Jen only you would trade in one for two!! I'm sorry things didn't work out for Sally. Poor baby is destined to life in the shelter I suppose. I guess if she is happy there then that is all that matters.
Good luck with the two new babies! Four months is just small enough to look innocent but big enough to be dangerous!! It's so hard to gain their trust. It's so frustrating but in the end it is the most rewarding feeling I believe I have ever had! You will have these babies turned into purring balls of fur in no time!
    Can't wait for pictures!!

They are BEAUTIFUL kittens!! They both remind me so much of Lucky when he was that age! Especially that last picture of Roxie. They are going to be love muffins in no time!! They are just so cute and snuggly looking. It always breaks my heart that it takes them so long to realize what they are missing.
Keep us posted on their progress!!

Oh Jen, bless you for all you do and put up with!!! I just don't know how you do it.

Whisper and Roxie are so sweet-looking. Since you just got them maybe it's too soon to panic about the eating. Hugs to you and furry felines.

Roxie is coming around. After 2 syringes of force fed food she ate some canned on her own. Then she explored the room and would come to me when i called to her. She'll do fine.

Whisper needed 3 syringes of force fed food because she would not eat on her own. I have not allowed her to explore the room yet as she would not come to me and would find the smallest of hiding spots. I just continue to hold her. She has melted the tiniest of bits. Sweet Annie all over again. Please don't let it take 6 months again!

Keep the girls in your thoughts that by tomorrow morning they have not forgotten their "lessons" in love.

I'll keep good, happy thoughts that they have forgotten all about there lessons by tomorrow.

Jen your two new kitties are absolutely adorable. I love them both but I think that wishper is my favorite looking one.

You are an angel for taking in even more.

Whisper is going to be your challenge but she will come around. If your still in one piece after force feeding then she will come around.
It is my guess that the lessons of love will be forgotten by morning but hopefully relearned quickly!!
Were these cuties ferals or do you know about their background?

Whisper and Roxie sure are cutie pies. If anyone can socialize these two, you sure can Jen. Good luck and please keep us updated on their progress.

I was just thinking about you two new fosters. I was wondering if they are eating and how they are doing in general.

If I missed another thread where you gave an update, I'm sorry.

The kittens have had me pretty stressed. They weren't eating. I even had a consultaion with an animal communicator last night.

The brown one (Roxie) is getting a bit more friendly. Sometimes she will come to get petted and then sometimes she won't.

The blue one (they renamed her Silver on our website) hides almost ALL the time. She is so scared.

I have managed to get them both to eat something but am not happy with their progress. With Sweet Annie here with me for 6 months now and still she doesn't trust me I am beginning to think Silver will be just like her. I sure hope not, it is so hard to deal with them when they don't trust you.

    Thanks for asking.

I am sorry that to hear that things are not going so good, I was so hoping that it was better news. I understand about it being hard when they do not trust you.

Just know that you have been in my thoughts and that all of us here are pulling for you and I know that you will make it work.

I will be praying for a turn around in them.

{{HUGS}} to you. I think you need them.
