French sporting ring

I was interviewing a breeder yesterday (Maybe a potential breeder of my GSD puppy ), and she was talking to me about some of the dogs she's produced. Then she told me that alot of them are now in the "French sporting ring." Does anyone know what that is?

could be ring sport? in which case ring sport is kind of like schutzhund, there is 3 rings(like circus rings) and there is different levels of control and ability needed for each level or "ring". thats the only thing I can think of that sounds even remotly simlier
