What a way to end Christmas Day!!!

I had my in laws over late yesterday, and I had put out a plate of cookies on the coffee table. Then we all went down in the basement to play pool and drink a few beers. Well, I then let the pups inside, and Sierra came down with us, and I didn't think about Buddy. That was until I remembered the COOKIES ON THE COFFEE TABLE!!!!!!!!!!
I ran upstairs just as Buddy was finished feasting and licking up the crumbs!!!!! Most were peanut butter cookies, with a few sugar cookies and a few butter balls. He didn't even get sick!! He got a drink of water, then ate his food!!! What a hog that Buddy is!!!!!
    THEN
Later on .... I had let the pups put for the last time, cuz it was time for bed. Sierra ran past me, then... sniff... sniff..... I called her back to me, and she came back.... head down, ears back... sad eyes like.... "Who... ME??"

I bent down to smell her, and Eughhhhhhhhh
We must have a visiting cat in our yard, and she had been rolling in CAT PEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I had to give her a bath at 11:00 last night!!
I dried her off, then we laid by the wood stove for a while to warm up (I got every bit as wet as she did!!!) then we curled up in bed and went to sleep!

Ahhh... what a way to end Christmas Day!!!!

Well, seems like you have two dogs with a lot of character! That just shows what great personalities they have. The cat pee thing would have been so gross! I can't imagine having to give a bath so late. At least you had that nice stove to get warm.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.

In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

    You got off easy

A few holidays ago my brothers dog got out and ate some cat feces and when she got home she got in their bed and vomited. Yukk!!! Needless to say they were happy we had a capet cleaner to get the mess up.

I think Buddy was just pretending to be Santa.

Poor Sierra or should I say poor you for having
the smell her/give her a bath.
