Does anyone elses computer do this?

My computer underlines random words on pages I visit and if I click those underlined words, it takes me to a webpage ABOUT that underlined word. Weird computer.

If you can't see the pic, it is from Tray's post about what mothers are made of, and it has underlined the words work at home.

Could it be caused by spyware?

Nope. Mine doesn't..........never has. Do you use KaZaa a lot? I heard using Kazaa puts spyware on your computer (though I'm not sure), so maybe it could be that........or a virus?

Another dumb blonde moment? Hehe, just kidding.

Spyware are small programs that monitor sites you visit online, so basically it's like a "spy", since it knows what you're doing.

Spyware is basically something that gets installed on your comp (like comet curser etc) that allows the company or whatever to spy on what you do on your comp. Something like that lol

micki there used to be a program out there that would underline certain words on a page, it was a form of spyware, It picks up on words that will take you to nothing but spam.

It doesn't sound like a virus, it does sound like spyware though, you have to really watch about some of the programs you install from the internet or you will pick up this spyware, Gator and different one are just spyware, the old Kazaa had a lot of spyware. You should go into your control panel, and see if there is something you have recently installed or lately whatever the case it may be.

Need to install a good spyware detector that will seach out these hidden programs and nuke them. I used spybot, found out gator had got on mine, somehow. I nuked that little sucker. I just wish I could remember what the name of that spyware was that would do the exact same thing.

I guess thats why I like to go through my whole computer and reinstall everything once in awhile, start from scratch, start all over again, I haven't done that in about a year though.

But it does sound like spyware, you have picked up somewhere.

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!

I thought that's what it was. I use Ad Aware for the spyware.

Oh yes, comet curser is, and the one that you use for your e-mail to get all those cute little extra emotiocons, can't remember that either, any of you know? Even if you uninstall that program, it leaves something behind that messes with your e-mail program, like have you ever got e-mail from somebody, and there are supposed to be pictures and all you see are the little red x's, thats is what happens when you have had that put on your e-mail program. Incredimail maybe spyware too. Not sure though.

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!
