Yet Another Case of Kitty Abuse :(

I just received this link from my brother-in-law who lives in the Florida Keys. Once again some kittens have been the target of some boy's sick mind. While one little one left for the Rainbow Bridge, two out of the three kitties will eventually be OK. This breaks my heart and I will never understand the warped minds behind such acts. I was wondering as I read the article what type of penalty there is for this type of thing. Anyone know? Whatever it is, I am sure it is not harsh enough.

That is truly sick. I don't understand where people get off thinking "it's ok to hurt an animal of any kind, they are only animals after all and some don't even have feelings." What stupidity.

I truly hope that saying, what goes around comes around, to those that hurt those poor helpless animals, but 10x worse. I know 2 wrongs don't make a right, but these poor animals are helpless, defenseless, something needs to be done.

Please don't anyone think I am defending this A*$&@!% but to do what he has done at the age of 13 makes you wonder what goes on inside his home.
I am so glad that whoever saw this had the courage to call the police and save the babies. Bless those poor abused kitties. I wonder where the mama cat is?? I hope they took her too. Anybody who thinks that Satan doesn't have some demons on this earth only needs to read crap like this!! Isn't this how Jeffery Dommer (sp) started out??

I can't even bring myself to read the article, I know ignoring the facts do not make them go away, but sometimes I need to remember ONLY the good people in order to keep some sanity.

I agree totally with you Jen. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the cruelty on earth and I simply cannot add another picture to the ones that are already in my mind.

Unfortunately, nothing will be done to this kid. This kid and kids like him are what my husband deals with every day at school and they feel they are above the law and actually do get away with this stuff! Personally, I think he shold be picked up by his ankles and thrown in front of a moving car.

Don't get me started on our society and its laws to protect "children who really don't know better" They DO know better, but they're just plain mean and know they can put on a "sorry" face and actually get away with it!

    RIGHT ON!!!

    CCL,

Jeffrey Dahlmer started in his grandmother's basement with kittens and baby birds. NEED I SAY MORE????

    Catnapper,

I feel the same way you do! If society can't punish these boys (I couldn't bring myself to read the link either Jen, so don't feel bad) for what they did, then the message they are sending is that's OKAY to abuse, torture and kill animals. I also believe it is the parents responsibility to teach children respect for human and life. Letting them get away with this atrocity (sp?) is just another way of turning the other cheek.

Too much of this crap goes on all the time. Something needs to be done. A slap on the wrist OBVIOUSLY isn't good enough. When will the system get it???

I think something should be done to this kid...even though he's just a kid he should've known better. That's just sad

    I totally agree with you.

OK, now that I have those out of my system.

I really think that the kid needs to be puneshed severly, but Catnapper is right, nothing will be done. The kid will put on a sorry face and he and his sisters will get away with it. The fact that his sisters where threatening witnesses says something about that family. The whole lot of them should probabaly have dealings with that car I read about in another post.

I would like too see the kid get some help, but it sounds like the whole family is this way and any help the kid gets will just be erased by the family.

So, no help for the kid, I am going back to my idea of that car for the whole family.*grins evilly*

You know my first thought when I read the article is that it was sad not only what was done, but that this kid had obviously not ever known the love of a pet. If he had he could have never done such a thing. Even in the most dysfunctional families I think if a child has a pet it gives them a source to receive love (which we all need so badly) and in turn to be able to love in return. My guess is that this kid and his sisters grew up in a family where love was absent. How sad for everyone, but that still doesn't mean he should get off. I would love to see the parents have to pay a stiff fine or better yet put them in jail. Someone must be punished for this.

I think one of us should be a Judge in this case. All of us know what would happen if one of us were to be the judge, that kid and his sisters would be in a world of hurt, if one of us walked into the room. I can't stand it when people are mean to animals, if I so much as step on Cubby's tail I feel really bad, I don't understand how these people can live with them selves after they hurt a poor little kitten, the kittens didn't ask to be brought into this world.

That kind of resembles what happened to Grover, kids at the local highschool found him in a old car at their mechanics shop, and they were using her as a footbal, I have heard from witnesses that she was actually flying through the air from being kicked so hard, such cruelty is sickening to me. After she became lifeless, one boy threw her in the garbage, where my daughter found her and brought her home. She had just got her eyes open, and was so tiny and looked so pitiful.

I wish there were stricter laws guarding against such abuse, but some people are just so heartless. Makes me sick to see stuff like that.

Thank You, kittycats_delight for my new siggy!!!

    Mere coincidence?

Does it strike anyone as ironic that the article that appeared below this one is "
Recent Rapes Confirmed Work Of The Serial Rapist"

I really cannot comprehend why, in a time when atrocious crime is becoming more and more commmon, that people get away with this type of crime

Mum to two little humans, a very vocal 14 year old Ragdoll, and a super energetic and snuggly rescue kitten.

Oh no! I had no idea that Grover had such a horrible past. Were any charges brought against these boys? This makes me sick to my stomach. Thankfully life will be good for her from here on in. (((Hugs for Grover)))
