I have been calling quite a few vets because of Bhakti's critical condition. It
turns out that there is a recall on a new brand of "high end" dogfood, Go!
Natural. Many dogs (and cats) have died. The distribution was only on the West
Coast, but you have an extensive network so I thought you should know about
this. The cause of the problem is not known. One vet said that there is
serious hepatic trauma. Bhakti is totally distended, full of gas. She
responded well to Carbo vegetabilis in homeopathic potency yesterday. One of
the symptoms for this is when dogs prefer the cold. She wouldn't come in the
house despite record low temperatures. Last night, she came in for a few hours,
first time in days. It's very serious. She hasn't been able to hold down any
food for days.

That actually happened a while ago. Go! Natural has done a recall and paid the owners for emotional distress, and apologized to the public. It was 7 cats and dogs all together that died, but they still haven't found any reason to believe that Go! Natural caused the deaths, and are still doing testing on the foods. The last I heard, they hadn't found anything wrong with the food. I fed Sara Go! Natural and never had any problems with it. I still believe it is a great food.
