These kittens are a rollar coaster!! I thank God each and every day that I work at a vet's office.
We awoke yesturday to see Emma's inner eyelid (what she has of it) swollen and extended over almost 1/3 of her right eye. Her face next to her eye was puffy and she looked misrable.
I took her to work with me, after wiping her eyes with a warm saline solution and giving her artificial tears and BNP w/ dex ointment several times Sunday.
Dr. Martin did an ocular anesthesia (deadens the nerves in the eye for a short time) so he could look behind her eye. (Yea....ICK!! I was VERY close to passing out at this point...) He said that it looks like her current problem is the eyelid deformaties AND clamydia!!! How does a cat get that??? I'll be online tonight, searching for that one...
It'll take many days for the swollen flesh inside her (OK, hate to be gross, but I don't know what else to call it) eye socket to go down and for her to start feeling better.![]()

PLEASE pray for her. I can imagine she's very uncomfortable. I just want to get her her surgery. I don't know how, but she needs it badly.
I found that link Soledad (thank you!!) posted last week about this deformity in two cats in Monrovia, CA and found that that specialist is in Tustin...about two hours east of us. I think I'll be calling for an appointment for a consultation.
Again, please think happy thoughts and send those PT prayers. I know He listens to us.![]()
