If you can't beat them, join them (pics)

OK, picture this. My kitchen windows have cafe' curtains with a valance. That means that there is a curtain rod right at the mid point of the window, and a teeny tiny ledge where the bottom half meets the top half of the window. The cats INSIST that they must go up on the curtain rod/ledge of this one particular window. So, as the title of this thread says, if you can't beat them (get them to stop), join them, (make it easier for them). I built them a seat.............................

    Adorable!

(Don't cats look sweet as they 'Inspector General' the neighborhood through a window?)

Wonderful pics. I especially like the last one of Kim and Jim togather!

(When we bought our new kitchen table and chairs I moved our raggedy old garden furniture ouside, but Ally complained so much I had to bring one chair back in and put it next to the window!. I suppose Connor will want one too (if he ever get's out of the guest room). Maybe I should take a tip from you and just get some customised seats made for them

Thanks Kay for my great sig & avatar!!!

Jen, what a wonderful kitty meowmie you are, not only let the cats have all the human seats and sit on the floor, but also build them a custom made look-out too!

    Lovely pics, thanks for sharing!

You know - they go where they look the prettiest! They look just beautiful sitting there. Good job making them a comfortable perch.

    You built them a seat.....

Jen, you're way over the edge. but I love you anyway. I would have done the same thing, except added a ladder to make access easier.....
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

You guys are too much! But I have to admit I would have done the same.

Great pics, Jen, and it's obviously a favorite spot since you got a pic of so many of them enjoying it.

Excellent idea, Jen. I'm sure the kitties appreciate your adding to their comfort in an obviously desirable spot. I keep thinking of this house I saw on HGTV where the people literally installed catwalks all through their house. Keep that hammer, nails, boards, and pieces of carpeting handy, as you've got a bit more construction to do.

I've seen it and I have been contemplating how to do it here.
