Phoebe is sick :(

I had to bring Phoebe to the vet yesturday because she somehow sprained her right, front leg. {either from play8ing too rough with Emma or from falling off the couch still attached by those extra claws) She had a 105 degree temperature, so the vet gave her anti-imflammatory and antibiotic injections and sent us home with clavamox.

She slept all night with me and this morning, when David fed the furkids, she barely ate and was listless. David brought her in to work with me (vet's office) and they found she still had the same temperature. He decided to keep her over the weekend and will be giving her fluids twice daily until Monday.

My poor little sweetie!!! He's going to do a FIP test and a blood panel. I'm praying really hard it comes back negative. She was negative for FIV/FELV when they tested her a few weeks ago.

Please pray she's negative on FIP too. I'm worried about her and the other cats....

Wow. Will hold you in our prayers. I think I've heard that kittens are subject to occasional temperatures, but it's good to have the vet check out the worse case side of things, too.

We had to have Bam Bam retested recently.

Our vet said if the first test was clear, then we only retest to rule out those dieases, as a precaution.

i.e. One clear test is very very likely to be followed by another.

Thanks so much guys! I believe in the power of PT prayers....

I hate that she's all alone in a cage until the techs come in tomorrow to feed her and give her fluids. I just hope she'll sleep the whole time and get all better. The vet will call me tomorrow hopefully and let me know her FIP results.
