Bassett and Nutmeg get their shots today!

Yup, it's time for a trip to the vet. Everyone is doing great, though, so at least I will have some good news to tell them when we get there Bassett and Nutmeg are due for their annual shots and their three yr rabies, so I should have some pretty dopey kitties when we get home! I am slightly concerned, because Bassett has had a bad vaccination reaction before, but my vet knows and will give her something to counteract that, but.. I'm a mom what can I say

So, hopefully my car will start this morning (I need a new alternator.. that's scheduled for this afternoon) and everything will go very smoothly!

Everything went great! The vet said "Bassett sure is doing remarkably well" Bassett got a couple antinflammatory shots ahead of time, and has had no reaction whatsoever; in fact, both Bassett and Nutmeg have acted totally normal today and if I hadn't taken them myself I never would have known they had shots this morning! So all is well!

Oh - and my car started every time I needed it to, and it's fixed now

in the past couple hours, Bassett has been breathing pretty heavy I think she's just tired, but it's worrying me Please pray it's nothing serious (which I'm sure it isn't, but I'm still scared for her).

Hopefully Bassett is just having a tiny reaction to her shots. Prayers that she feels peachy keen by morning!

What great news!! I just had the alternator replaced in my car last month. Please give nosie kisses to them all.

Bassett seems to be doing much better. Now it's Nutmeg I'm worried about.. she has a pretty big lump where the rabies shot went in and she's in obvious pain. She even refused food this morning

Bassett is still breathing heavier than normal but it's calmed down some. I'm hoping that it's just a reaction to the rabies shot, which seems to take longer for the system to get used to than the others.

Right now I have Nutmeg all covered up with a blanky on her favourite rocking chair. I have to go to work so Nathan will be coming over this afternoon (ALL the way from Vancouver.. he's really the best BF EVER) to take care of them while I'm at work. I was sick last night thinking about leaving them here today all alone.. but now I don't have to worry

    I'll keep you updated,
    Naomi
