It is very bittersweet, Valerie, but also quite "human". Thank you, Alicia, for posting it, and to you, Valerie, for sharing it with the cat lovers. It is a very special photograph. Prayers for the kitties and the soldiers are constantly heading out from this house.

I'm curious about the location of the picture...do you know where it was taken? I try not to think about this so much, but aside from humans, pets and stray animals are the other victims of war...
