One of our Huname Society volunteers has a basset hound called Basil B Bassett and he looks just like that. Thanks for the laugh.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    The picture caption

Yup! Here's the blurb that was posted with the pic:

"You say I made Guinness?! I can't believe my ears! We can't believe them either, Mr. Jeffries. The basset hound from West Sussex, England, has been known to trip over his 11 1/2-inch-long ears. Mr. Jeffries claimed the title after his long-eared granddad, Biggles the Hush Puppies shoes model, died last year."

I had three Basset Hounds at one time. Great smart and very silly/entertaining dogs, but those ears! They would drag them through EVERYTHING and they'd have to have their ears washed off every day. They were very messy pets. Cats are SO much easier!

So, so cute! We saw some Bassets at a hound show a while back, and they were the most fun dogs!
