    Passwords for Windows based PC?

Does anyone know how to set a password to come up on the screen as soon as the computer is turned on? I don't want anyone on my computer without my permission, and I don't know how to do this. I have Windows ME.

    Thanks!

im using xp and im not sure if it's the same but on here you go to "control panel" and "user accounts" then "change the way users log on or off". I *think* that's how u do it...

I don't know if it's the same on ME as it is on XP, but I just click start*control panel*user accounts*click on my account*create a password. It might be different for you though. Hope this at least helps a little

I know Windows 2000 is the same like XP with the "user accounts" so I'm thinking ME should be the same. If not, go to the control panel, click on Help and type in "password." It should give you some ideas of how to set it up.
