    Maggie seems...Too Big! pic*~

    Ok. Maggie is only 9 months old and she is HUGE! Is this normal?
    Dumb question isnt it? lol Could it be her fur? or is she fat or could it do with someting being a maine coon mix?

    Can you feel her ribs? This is supposed to be a way to tell if her weight is normal.

    She's very furry - how much cat is there under all that gorgeous fur? She's still growing, so maybe its just some "baby fat" that she has to lose.

    If you are worried, bring her in for a vet visit and get a professional opinion.

    Thanks for the info! Yes I can feel her ribs. Maggie has ALOT of hair and she never sheds it. I agree it prolly is Baby fat! hehe!

    Maggie sure looks like a Maine Coon or perhaps a Maine Coon mix. If she is, the breed is genetically large. I don't know if the boys get bigger than the girls, but they are BIG cats with great purrsonalities. Enjoy her!

    Your Maggie looks like my Mooky who is also a Main Coon mix.
    Mooky was about that size at 9 months also.
    He turned 1 year old on July 24th and is now a whopping 16 pounds.

    I don't think you have anything to worry about as Main Coon's can get quit big.

    Yup...its the maine coon in her. My Noah weighs 20 lbs and he's solid cat...not fat at all.

    Oh! My brother has a Maine Coon also! She looks big here but she isn't either. Here she is on a blanket that I crocheted.
