My first attempt at cropping a pic - what do you think?

I took IttyBittyKitty's and PCB's advice on cropping and I tried it with this picture. Ignore the backround, I just wanted to put some color to it. Anyways what do you think?

    Thanks guys

PCB, I tried blurring them a bit. How would I "feather" them?

WW! My first attempt didn't even have much of the original pic left lol...I was horrible at it. What program are you using? I use photoshop but for any program, I use bigger brushes..maybe 40 for that pic and I make sure it's the "fluffier" eraser and not a solid one...that way, I can erase just enough to make it look nice and smooth. Also, feather works. I think for photoshop, you right click? I'm not sure..I haven't used that feature in a while.

Thanks Ash. Yeah I use Photoshop 5.5 (that's why I'm not sure if I have this feature. I'll have to check).

Thank you very much guys! I needed to crop come pics for Mick's site and I didn't want to bug PCB like I did once!

Primabella, you did NOT bug me when you asked me to crop Mickey's pic! I was more than happy to do so!

I made a pic trying to explain to you how to feather the edges when you crop. I hope it'll help!

Ps. I usually keep it at 5 when cropping. I find that 4-6 in the best, depending on the picture.

I tried IttyBittyKitty's zooming suggestion. What do you think. Its Muffin cropped into Popcorn's picture. I didn't take much time doing it carefully though. I was just testing the zoom feature. Which do you think is cropped better, the pic below which was cropped with zoom, or the pic in my sig, cropped without zoom and feathered?

You can have different Layers when you're cropping Pics, at least mines like that, I use PhotoImpression and I just take maybe 5 pics crop them down and put them on one background
