We never mind pictures, the more the better.
Look how that Jazz shines.......he's almost BLUE!!!!!!!!!
And who could resist Scout? Orangies rate quite high here.
And Ripley could be a re-incarnation of our Thumper. Same long brown tabby with white, and always grabbing a foot (especially when we wanted to leave the house)

I get this all the time too. Tubby will be sitting there. I go over to take a pic and instead of sitting still like a good kitty, he always has to reach over and sniff the camera. You think he'd know what it smells like by now, but I suppose he always has to make sure it's not some sort of treat or something.![]()

I've been Defrosted!
Thanks for the great signature Kay!
Notice the fat belly on Scout? She was estimated to be 9 months old and pregnant when she came into the shelter on April 21, 2003. They spayed her and ended the pregnancy (I don't have any of the info) and then she had a seroma (sp?) that had to be drained at the suture site. Anyway, I wonder if this is why her belly if so fatty. She's just now around a year old so it's not an age thing. She was at the shelter from April 21 until I brought her home three weeks ago so she also was very inactive for months.Originally posted by jazzcat

I've been told that a female orange tabby is a little rare. Is that true? She and Jazz are my girls. I don't give very feminine sounding names, do I?
From Decker with Love
I didn't know female orange tabbies were rare until I lost my beloved Goldie earlier this year. She was my baby for over 14 years; her age was estimated at 15 years when she died. When I went looking for another orange girl, there were none to be found on in the San Francisco Bay Area or on Petfinder.com, but I did find my Mishi. My friends warned me against getting a male cat, as Goldie had been quite ill all over the house for several months and "they" told me that a male cat would spray because of the scent Goldie had left, so I didn't initially go for him and got Mitzi instead (same rescue shelter as Mishi). After a few weeks with Mitzi I realized she was lonely and Mishi was still available .... the rest is history ...![]()

Jazz looks so sleek and shiny.
Orange female cats are pretty rare, my brother has one and he lives in MA.
I'm pretty sure there are a few other Pet Talkers who have orange female cats too.

80 % of orange cats are male. (I do not know if this includes bicolor with white, or not) I too, have an all orange female.
.
All 3 of your furkids are gorgeous.I'm a very big orangie fan too. When I was growing up I adopted an orange female kitten. Her mother was also orange and she also had an orange sister. I never knew that all orange females were rare until I found out on Pet Talk.
