Going back to the vet again...

Well, Nova's toe is still purple and swollen so I made a vet apointment. She has been done with the antibitotics now for 4 days. My vet said that there might be something in her foot, like a piece of the stick or even grass that could be upsetting it and the only way to get things like that out is to put her under and go in there and get it. I'm just praying they have something else that they have something else we can try.

Well, I'll give ya'll another update after the vet apointment tomrrow.

Poor Nova, I hope they find whatever it is that's making her toe swell up.

Some (not so very good) pics of her foot

Might be graphic, please proceed with caution.

I know there not very clear, and you can't really tell what they are but I think you get the picture.

    Just had a bad scare!

Nova scratched at the door so I opened the top of it so that she could see in and wait for me to get Julian into his room and then to let her in. She was throwing the biggest fit, cryign and screaming and making the most noise I have ever heard. She was going crazy just crying and barking and trying to jump up and over the bottom part of it. I quickly got Julian into his room and let her in she ran to the couch layed down and began to cry soem more and lick her foot. The hole is open again and it's all red. I think it mighth have been bleeding also. It looks pretty bad. I am so happy she has a vet apointment in a half hour or I would be freaking out and calling the vet. ::sigh:: I just need to remind myself that Nova is going to the vet in a half hour and everything will be ok.

ps: She's stopped crying and curled up on my blanket for a nap now.

Poor Nova I'm so glad that she's at the vet. Hopefully he/she can give her some relief from the pain and find out what the cause is! Thinking of you and Nova!

Well, more antibitotics for now. She is on 2 mornign and then 2 again at night. He said the spot where whatever entered her paw and made the hole is now twice the size it was last time. She will be scheduled for a surgery apointment Next Wednsday unless it gets better, but my vet is pretty sure its not going to get better and she will need surgery not the news I was hopeing for

Prayers for Nova are greatly apreciated.

Ok! I looked and that looks so painfull.

I hope Nova's paw gets better so she doesn't have to
have surgery. Either way, I will be sending lots and lots of good thoughts your way. Keep us updated.

Has Nova's paw improved any? I note she was scheduled for surgery on Wednesday (tomorrow). Is the surgery still going ahead?
