    Amber's gums

Well, Amber has been on the antibiotics for her sore gums for 5 days. She is getting a "rinse" on the gums twice a day. The vet said that since she has started to eat without pain again that we could hold off on the next step (biopsy) until (if and when) she has another flare up. Amber has had this before and will no doubt have it again, but the best test results come from biopsying the gums at the time of inflamation (flare up, she called it). So we will continue the meds and the rinse and see when (if) the sore gums return.
Thank you for your concern while she got her FeLV retest.

Oh Amber, be a good girl and let your Meowmie do what is necessary.

Ouch, I can't imagine what it must be like to have a biopsy done at flare-up time??? Surely there must be some kind of anesthetic involved (and don't call me Shirley...).

Jen, I sure hope that Amber feels better soon and that your vet will be able to find out the cause of her gum problem. I also hope that it's treatable. Prayers and positive thoughts are on the way. Please take care.

I hope Amber is well again really soon. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

Good luck Miss Amber. I hope your gums get better so you don't need that biopsy

Good luck, little Amber! Let your mommy treat your gums, so maybe they don't have to do the biopsy!
